Photographs chronicling three years working as a brakeman in the Milwaukee Road yards, from hiring in 1974 through bankruptcy protection in 1977. Portraits of the railroad and railroad workers, daily toil in the yards, and an insider view of Milwaukee industrial history. Documents the experience of the first two women to work in the yards and a communal cultural and industrial transformation.
