Opening reception for Distant Visions, an exhibition of richly detailed oil paintings of expansive landscapes and the wildlife that inhabits them. Built through layers of thin oil glazes rendering fur, stone, foliage and atmospheric light, drawing on landscapes of Sweden and the American Southwest. Animals and landscapes interwoven with human symbols of longing, memory and belief, including the Very Large Array dishes turned toward outer space, an obelisk marking the Trinity Site, a solitary church, a sacred tree near Pueblo ruins, a lucky keepsake of a lost loved one and Seattle's Space Needle. Exhibition on view November 5-28, 2026.
