Solo exhibition of recent drawing and sculptural works by anti-disciplinary artist and DJ Jesús Hilario-Reyes. Ink on vellum drawings layer translucent sheets with dance-notation markings mapping imagined movements of dancers, including that sweetest sonnet, not the pet bird of poets, or falling light, all unashamed, and sways in wicked grace, all are the stormers and scramblers. Sculptural installation When I see you with mahogany display case, two Chauvet DJ Hurricane 1200s, fog and light bulbs filling and emptying in perennial fall toward disappearance. Accompanying commissioned found poem zine written, designed and letter-pressed by Stella Rae Binion, with text drawing from Black and Blur by Fred Moten and The Second Sermon on the Warpland by Gwendolyn Brooks.
